Chandipur Nature Camp – At a Glance :
Chandipur Beach, 16 Kms from Balasore is popularly known as the “Vanishing Sea” or the “Hide and Seek” beach of India- where the Sea disappears every day twice. Stay in the six Eco-Cottages at Chandipur Nature Camp amid golden sand and sprawling waves, and witness the mystery of the vanishing Sea twice everyday. Enjoy the cool climate complemented by a multi-ethnic and cultural population that is friendly & welcoming. The Sea at Chandipur recedes twice a day up to almost 5 km and all the Sea-animals get exposed. The beach is located on the shore of Bay of Bengal. The endangered Horseshoe Crabs are found here in a healthy population.

    The entry timing for private vehicle is 7.30 Am to 8.30 Am at pithabata entry gate.Return timing is 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Nigirdha Gate,7:00 PM at Pithabata gate.No vehicle should be allowed after 5:00 PM in Nigirdha gate.

    Bhitarkanika Wildlife Sanctuary and Bhitarkanika National Park is closed for annual Salt Water Crocodile Status Survey from 14.01.2025 to 22.01.2025.
